London Labour mouthpiece Jim Murphy wants SNP Government to engage in the Wendy Commission flop

Dear All

The Calman Commission was set up by Wendy Alexander.

It is sometimes called the ‘Wendy’ Commission as this was her big idea to try and dominate Scottish politics.

She and that failed and both fell on their collective unionist arses.

Now Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy wants the SNP Government to end its “boycott” of plans to devolve more powers to Holyrood.

The SNP Government should have absolutely nothing to do with this and make it publicly known they disown the Commission as the irrelevance it is. The SNP Ministers should talk down this Commission for what it is, a waste of money and a vehicle that tried to project a disgraced individual.

Mr Murphy has been holding talks with unionist party leaders at the Scottish Parliament to try and promote interest in the Calman Commission.

Murphy said;

“I’ve come to the Scottish Parliament as soon after the Queen’s speech as possible. But it’s very disappointing a real setback to teamwork that the Scottish Government still refuse to co-operate with the Calman Commission.

For the record to Murphy and his unionist clowns, we aren’t part of your team.

Murphy whines that;

“They maintain their boycott of the process and they’re behaving like a roadblock to the Calman Commission.”

The SNP must not change its mind and engage with this nonsense and Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond must not appear in front of MPs on Westminster’s select committee set-up, under Calman’s recommendations.

It would be bad political judgement and weaken the work already done by the Scottish Government as a government in its own right.

The Scottish Government has already published the necessary Parliamentary orders about transfer key powers to the Scottish Parliament, that is as far as they should go and not one step beyond.

Yours sincerely
